Catch The Young has brought a beloved 90s hit back to life with their remake of “You, Always,” originally by the iconic Korean band Mono. Known for their sophisticated pop sound, Mono’s 1993 classic gets a fresh, youthful twist with Catch The Young’s unique approach to songwriting and arrangement, while still honoring the essence of the original.
The band gave fans a surprise preview of the track at their Loud and Proud solo concert at Rolling Hall in Seoul on January 17th, captivating the audience with their energetic and modern interpretation of the song. Catch The Young then built up excitement by releasing a teaser video on January 21st via their social media platforms, offering a glimpse of the members performing together in a dreamy, vibrant setting, radiating cheerful energy.
Bassist and leader Sani shared the band’s thoughts behind the remake: “‘You, Always’ is a hit track by Mono, released in 1993. We thought this song would be perfect for Catch The Young as we have the goal to play music that can resonate with all generations. In addition, we wanted to work on a song that all listeners, ranging from K-pop fans of the 21st century to people who love the nostalgic music of the 90s, can enjoy together.”

Main vocalist Namhyun added: “I was excited and happy throughout the whole process of working on ‘You, Always (2025)’ because the original version was very widely loved. I hope you’ll find more charms of Catch The Young through this single, and we look forward to showing great live performances of this song.”
The 90s version of “You, Always” featured a signature New Wave sound with its use of synthesizers, but Catch The Young’s version pushes boundaries, blending the past with the present. Every member took part in re-arranging the track, infusing it with their youthful energy while staying true to the song’s original sentiment. Park Jung-won, the composer of Mono’s original track, expressed his hopes that Catch The Young’s new version will further highlight the band’s musicality and connect with a new generation of listeners.
Starting the year strong with You, Always (2025), Catch The Young is poised to bring warmth and nostalgia to fans, all while continuing to shine with their distinct “Youth Pop-Rock” sound.
