New Affordable Housing and Retail Development Planned for 2600 S. Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles

A new affordable housing development is set to replace three commercial buildings at the corner of Robertson Boulevard and Beverlywood Street, following an application submitted to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning late last year. The project, proposed by Ohr Haemet, Inc., aims to build a six-story structure on a 16,200-square-foot lot at 2600 S. Robertson Boulevard.

The development will feature 150 studio and one-bedroom apartments, all reserved for low- and moderate-income households. Additionally, the building will offer 4,488 square feet of commercial retail space on the ground floor, along with parking for 11 vehicles.

To facilitate the larger structure, the project will utilize Mayor’s Executive Directive 1 (ED1) and density bonus incentives, which allow for an increased building size beyond what zoning regulations typically permit.

Metropolis Architecture, a firm known for its work on other ED1 developments, has been enlisted to design the project. The site is situated near several key locations, including Apple’s new campus on Venice Boulevard, Culver City Station, and Warner Bros. Discovery’s offices.

This development promises to bring much-needed affordable housing to the area while also integrating retail spaces to serve the community.
