AFC South Shockers: Late-Round Rookies Set to Shake Up 2025

The draft may be over, but the drama is just beginning. As rookie minicamps wrap, the AFC South has a new wave of underdog talent ready to explode onto the scene. Don’t blink, these late-round picks are coming in hot and could flip the script for their teams this fall.

Houston Texans (Hidden Firepower Incoming)

Woody Marks (RB, Mississippi State)   Forget his Day 3 label, Marks is electric. With his burst, balance, and pass-catching chops, he’s already drawing attention in camp. In a fast-paced offense led by C.J. Stroud, Marks could become the X-factor no one saw coming.

Jaylin Noel (WR, Iowa State) , He’s not the biggest name, but Noel’s footwork and hands are elite. The Texans’ receiver room is deep, but don’t be surprised when Noel starts carving up secondary’s from the slot and becomes a Stroud favorite by midseason.

Indianapolis Colts ( Quiet Picks, Loud Potential)

Bhayshul Tuten (RB, Virginia Tech), Lightning in cleats. Tuten’s agility and top-end speed give him instant change-of-pace value. With Jonathan Taylor handling the bruising, Tuten could break games open every time he touches the ball.

Jalen McLeod (LB, Auburn) ,Undersized? Maybe. Undervalued? Definitely. McLeod plays with a chip the size of Lucas Oil Stadium and is already turning heads with his closing speed. Special teams? Check. Defensive splash plays? Coming soon.

Jacksonville Jaguars ( Draft Day Steals Ready to Bite)

Caleb Ransaw (DB, Tulane), Ransaw is already being called the “Swiss Army Knife” of the secondary. He hits, he covers, he creates chaos. If you blink, he’s taking the ball the other way. A future turnover machine in Duval.

Wyatt Milum (OL, West Virginia) ,Nasty, smart, and aggressive, Milum might just punch his way into the starting lineup. With Trevor Lawrence needing protection, Milum’s name could be called more often than anyone expected.

Tennessee Titans (Titans of Tomorrow)

Ollie Gordon (RB, Oklahoma State) ,He’s built like a wrecking ball and runs like he’s angry at the ground. Gordon is already breaking tackles in practice and could be Tennessee’s next power runner, especially near the goal line.

Jonah Monheim (C, USC) , A 7th-round technician with a 1st-round brain. Monheim’s calm command at the line is impressive, and don’t be shocked if he’s snapping to Will Levis before long.

These aren’t just late-round picks, they’re future playmakers with something to prove. The AFC South might’ve just found its next wave of stars where nobody was looking. Get ready. The takeover starts now.
