Jacqueline Valdez wears many hats, including certified fitness instructor, professional dancer, choreographer, journalist, and talk show host. She inspires others to live healthy and empowered lives through movement, bringing her vast expertise to her clients at her private studio in Gainesville, Florida. Both her studio, Jacqueline Valdez Studio, and her talk show, Jacqueline Valdez Live, reflect her resilience and passion for motivating others. As a journalist and talk show host, Jacqueline conducts engaging interviews with celebrities worldwide, and her articles frequently appear in X-Pole, Sheen Magazine, and Pole World News.
With decades of experience in theater and dance, Jacqueline embraced Pilates and yoga for their transformative benefits, helping her enhance performance, manage injuries, and maintain peak physical condition. After a career-changing car accident, Pilates became her saving grace, allowing her to rebuild both physically and mentally. During her recovery, she explored empowering movement practices like pole dancing, where her graceful technique led to an appearance on America’s Got Talent. A talented competitor, Jacqueline has earned multiple gold and silver medals in pole fitness competitions. Pole World News affectionately calls her “The Pole Ballerina,” a nod to her elegant style rooted in ballet. Her dance journey began early, booking her first paid job in musical theater at just eight years old, where she was soon scouted by a professional dance troupe and invited to audition for their company.
Blessed with opportunities to perform nationwide, Jacqueline’s presence has graced red carpets, fashion shows, wedding events, dance competitions, workshops, and conventions. Performing in New Orleans for America’s Got Talent was the largest venue she had ever experienced and opened many doors. This life-changing experience was not only a journey but a dream come true. Another standout moment in her career was performing a piece dedicated to her parents’ memory. Jacqueline describes this moment as very spiritual, feeling her parents’ spirits watching over her.
Maintaining a consistent routine that includes eating healthy, getting adequate sleep, bodywork, daily exercise, protecting her routine, adding endurance exercises, and visualization, Jacqueline prepares meticulously for her shows. Living her life while fulfilling her dreams and passion creates a positive and grateful energy. Valdez boldly stated, “Dance is my soul and what gives me life. When I perform, I get lost in the choreography and music. I feel free on stage and enjoy every moment. The stage is my time to shine!”
Valdez’s love for the beauty, strength, and grace of ballet seamlessly integrates with her artistic approach to pole dance. Despite the stigma and discrimination sometimes associated with the art form, she embraces both its athleticism and artistry. As an authentic artist, Valdez nurtures her unique and elegant style, merging storytelling with visual appeal.
Pushing the boundaries and redefining both pole dance and ballet, Valdez was thrilled to discover that she made world ballet news and history in the aerial art industry. She strongly believes in the cliché of dancing to the beat of your own drum. Honored to be an inspiration and to pave the way in the industry, she is humbled by the love and respect she receives.
Through her private “Jacqueline Valdez Studio,” Valdez offers personalized programs that cater to each client’s unique needs, providing unmatched guidance and support on their journey to health and empowerment through movement. Her mantra is, “Healthy movement can be fun and empowering.” For those outside Florida, Valdez offers free workouts on her YouTube channel and Zoom sessions.
Her expression of art and education led her to the world of journalism. Having had empowering conversations with incredible individuals such as International Nova, Stokley Williams, Chef Babette Davis, Robert Ri’chard, David Meltzer, Lexy Panterra, Robert ‘Kool’ Bell, and J Young MDK, Valdez understands that she controls her future and the impact she makes on the world. She believes something greater than herself has chosen her to be a vessel, blessing her with gifts she wholeheartedly embraces. Excited for the journey ahead, she looks forward to making an even bigger impact.
“Jacqueline Valdez Live” emerged as a beacon of positivity during the pandemic. Recognized for insightful interviews with celebrities, the show focuses on positive storytelling, highlighting stories of hope and resilience. With engaging discussions and a warm atmosphere, the show is “illuminating the world, one voice at a time.” You can find it on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and all podcast platforms.
Hispanic Heritage Month began on September 15th, Jacqueline’s birthday! Gracing the cover of MEKKA Magazine and sharing her story is extremely meaningful to Valdez. The opportunity to honor her roots and continue her family’s legacy is priceless. Jacqueline’s biggest inspirations are her beautiful parents. Although she was bullied for being Spanish growing up, she has gained confidence over the years, learning to love herself and be proud of her heritage.
Valdez’s immediate goals include being a positive ethnic representation in mainstream media and achieving previously out-of-reach goals. Understanding that change starts with one person at a time, Jacqueline Valdez recognizes that this mindset creates a domino effect. By honoring our individual spaces and embracing our purpose, we can learn from the past, preserve the memories of those before us, and shape the future!
