Noah Lyles has officially proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, sharing the exciting news through a heartfelt video posted on his social media accounts.
The 2024 Olympic gold medalist in the men’s 100-meter dash set up a romantic scene, complete with pink flowers arranged in the shape of a heart, rose petals scattered on the floor, and candles glowing softly around the display. Bromfield didn’t hesitate to say yes, proudly showing off her engagement ring after the proposal. The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2022, now look forward to their future together.
Lyles and Bromfield, both Olympic sprinters, have shared significant moments throughout their relationship. Following his victory at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Lyles recalled a memorable night when he helped his girlfriend after she left her spikes behind at the Olympic Village.
“At 2 a.m., I found myself carrying a spike bag, my bag, and toiletries back to her hotel room, thinking, ‘Here I am, Olympic champion in the 100 meters, waddling to my girlfriend’s room with all this stuff,’” Lyles joked. “I’m a good boyfriend.”
Bromfield, who competed in the women’s 400m and various relay events in Paris, earned a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games as part of Jamaica’s 4x100m relay team. The pair continues to inspire both on and off the track as they celebrate their engagement.
